Country Crock - Make It Yours Recipe* (#MakeItYours)

FoodMaria GutierrezComment

Country Crock has been a brand that I have grown up with, and right now they have a challenge that is fun and delicious! It is the Make It Yours Challenge (#MakeItYours) I love to bake, so I accepted the challenge immediately.

They have a delicious and easy recipe on their website which is the one I followed and it is so simple! Also if you have kids it would be a fun activity that they can help out with (on Country Crock’s website they have tips for baking with kids). This challenge is also fun and creative because it can be a way to show ones creativity in deciding what to mix-in or top off your cookies with.

Erik and I decided to make two batches of cookies; we made one batch from the original recipe but added in chocolate cocoa powder and topped them off with York peppermint patties. The Other batch we made the original recipe from Country Crock’s website and topped them off with Hershey’s kisses filled with caramel.

We also used cookie cutters for some of the cookies and it just made them even better because they were so cute. I think everyone loved them because they were disappearing quite quickly. The possibilities for this challenge are endless, and today (05/01/2016) there is a new challenge revealed! Check out to check it out and start your challenge!

Disneyland Park - Mickey's Halloween Party

Lifestyle, TravelMaria GutierrezComment

The only thing better than going to Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland, is going twice. My family and I have so many wonderful memories at Disneyland and since we all enjoy Halloween, and have such busy schedules going to Mickey’s Halloween party is the perfect way to spend family time together.

We were thinking or where to go when the marching band passed by and just added even more excitement to the day. We went to Frontier Land and we all had our face painted near the Dia De Los Muertos area at Zocalo Park in Frontier Land. We had passed by the little kiosk but my mom and dad were looking at the options for face painting and we all ended up getting our face painted.

There were no lines for any rides so we were enjoying that quite a lot. What we really enjoyed was the trick or treating, its so much fun to exit a ride and then get candy. My favorite treat were the dried apples they are delicious I am now addicted, and I would trade with my sister for something that she would want in order for me to get her dried apples. After we rode the Pirates of the Caribbean we went to take a picture of the club 33.

Our favorite Disney Ride, can you guess which one it is ?

The other thing that I was looking forward to was having a Dole Whip float, which was delicious.  Everything is perfect at Mickey's Halloween Party from the decorations to the scarecrows characters that cause mischief and talk with the guests. To the small details, such as when your trick or treating and the cast members that are handing the candy interact with everyone.

The firework show is so good; Disneyland in this time of year is perfect! One of our traditions at the end of our visit at Disneyland is to get our fortune from Esmeralda before we leave the park. We all have our fortunes from every Disneyland visit. I highly recommend going to Mickey’s Halloween Party you wont be disappointed.

We had such an amazing time I am already looking forward to next years visit, you can see my post from last years Mickey's Halloween Party 2014  and a post from a couple of days ago when I went with Erik to Mickey's Party on October 13 Mickey's Halloween Party

Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland Park

Travel, LifestyleMaria GutierrezComment

October is one of my favorite months, the crisp air and the trees changing colors it’s beautiful and my favorite tradition is going to Disneyland to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! Disneyland always decorates the park beautifully; the buildings are all so festive. When Erik and I arrived we were handed our trick or treat bags and we also had perfect timing because the parade was about to begin and there were hardly any people so we were able to be right up at the front to enjoy it.

It was very hot, and since the Enchanted Tiki Room is such a cute show and it has AC we decided to go check it out. The Tiki room juice bar was the line that we waited the most at and we bought a Dole Whip Float for both of us, they were delicious and refreshing. It was the perfect way to wait for the next showing at the Tiki Room, which was a small oasis since it was quite hot outside.

One of my favorite things about Mickey’s Halloween Party is that there aren’t that many people at the park. We can really enjoy it since the line wait for the rides start to go down and we can ride everything. Not to mention that trick or treating is so much fun! The candy and non-candy items are so good, on this visit Erik and I decided to not get in all the candy lines and instead get on all the rides.

We had such a lovely time, and we met up with Erik's brother and his girlfriend. who made the day even better because we were able to catch up. Our last ride was Splash Mountain, which was perfect because it had no line. It was such a great day and we had so much fun!

Here is my post from last year if you would like to see it, Mickey's Halloween Party 2014 and if you want to travel to the future you can check out the post from when I went with my family on October 29th Mickeys Halloween Party
