Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios was so much fun! Believe it or not I had never gone before; it was long overdue.  Let me just say that it did not disappoint!  I'm glad that we went on a weekday because it wasn't very crowded and we really didn't have to wait long in line for rides.  I think the longest line we had to wait for was the Transformers ride and that was only a 30-minute wait, so that was wonderful.

I was so excited to go and we got their pretty early.  Right when we entered The City Walk I knew that it was going to be a fun day. They have music playing as you walk in and that sets up the mood so well, I was so excited to see everything and truly get the full experience. The first thing I looked for and was so excited to see was the area where The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is going to be.  I was so excited to just see that they already had structures standing; I just wanted to jump the barrier that they had to get a better view.  I am so excited for it to open and I will definitely be there Spring 2016! There is also a great area Westminster which is so cute its as if we were in London.

We took so many pictures in Springfield it’s a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a nice meal.  It was amazing to be able to feel like we were in Springfield!  We were able to go inside the Kwik-E-Mart, which was a souvenir shop, and to take pictures with the characters (Bart & Sideshow Bob).

The first ride that we rode was Jurassic Park and I loved it!  I went into the ride not knowing anything of how it would be because Erik didn’t tell me to not spoil it. Well it definitely did not disappoint I have to say I haven’t been on a ride that I was truly shocked in a long time I really enjoyed it and since it was getting pretty warm already it was nice to be drenched at the end of it.  After getting soaked, we went to The Revenge of the Mummy and left our things in a locker that they provide since they can get lost during the ride. The Revenge of the Mummy was short in time but high in adrenaline, which I really liked! Erik’s glasses actually flew off during one part of the ride, but luckily they fell down by his feet. The time that we were able to leave our stuff in the lockers was 90 minutes, for free, so we were able to leave our things in there while we went on the Transformers ride. The transformers ride was very good we sat in the front row and to get the full experience it was perfect.

We also saw the memorabilia museum that they have near the Transformers ride and it was so cool to see the Back to the Future DeLorean and the E.T. props as well.  By this time we were starting to get hungry, but we saw that the Jurassic Park ride had a low wait time so we decided to ride it one more time, before we headed back up to the upper lot.

It took us quite a while to decide what to eat because we weren't sure where we wanted to go either the Krusty Burger, Luigi's Pizza, Bumblebee Man's Taco Truck. But we decided on Cletus' Chicken Shack which was really good. After lunch we decided to explore some more and go on rides it was pretty hot so we went to the Despicable Me area and bought some Freeze Ray Smoothies and let me just say they were awesome! And one of the best parts the straw changes color with the smoothie we both really like it and since it was pretty hot it was nice to cools down with a good smoothie.

After the Studio tour which was so fun because it gives you a behind the scenes experience, we were ready to eat again. We went back to Springfield to Moe's Tavern and got a Duff beer along with some food and since it was still early we were able to enjoy the park and relax since the sun was in its prime and we had already done so much. We went back to the Despicable Me area and rode the Minion Mayhem ride, which was so cute, and as someone who loves their App game I found it very fun.

We got out we got another Freeze Ray Smoothie and headed back to Springfield to ride, The Simpsons ride which was cool to see because coming out of it you feel like you could be one of the Simpsons characters. It was such an amazing day. The final stop we made was by the entrance at the Harry Potter gift shop where I might have spent too much time and a bit of money getting a couple of things but I didn't buy everything since I will be buying particular things when the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens up which can't come soon enough. I had so much fun and I can't wait to go back, Erik had already been there before and it was great to be able to go with him, if you are like me and haven't gone before I would suggest that this summer you go and check it out.
