DisneyLand and Disney World are about to get even better than ever before, Bob Iger The Walt Disney Company Chairman and CEO announced the future plans that Disney Parks will have. Star Wars-themed lands will be coming to Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort this will allow Star Wars fans the opportunity to feel as if they are in a galaxy far, far away.

“I am thrilled to announce the next chapter in the long and exciting history between Disney Parks and Star Wars, We are creating a jaw-dropping new world that represents our largest single themed land expansion ever. These new lands at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will transport guests to a whole new Star Wars planet, including an epic Star Wars adventure that puts you in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.”

Things that future guests can look forward to are, being able to be in the Millennium Falcon, working on a customizable secret mission. Two-signature attraction and a thrilling battle, the expansion will be 14 acres each, which just makes the anticipation even bigger to see what they will do with so much space.

Since there is no specific date as to when this expansion will be finished, there will some changes to some existing rides at Disney. More Star Wars attractions coming soon: The 3D simulator Star Tours will include new characters from The Force Awakens, a new Star Wars Launch Bay for guests to peek behind the scenes of movies and play games, and a reimagined Jedi Training Camp with new characters from Star Wars Rebels. Also Disney's 2016 Star Wars: Season of the Force event, popular indoor roller coaster Space Mountain will transform into Hyperspace Mountain.
